This Sunday we had our first playoff game in the Fragleague CS:GO Nordic Championship. Two young and talented lineups faced off against each other in the first quarterfinal of the season.
The Swedes in Goodfellas, who snatched the second place in group A following a three-way tiebreaker, managed to beat the Finnish side Enhanced with a 2-0 score. The result means that Goodfellas have secured a top 4 finish in this season and gets to play a semifinal versus the Danish side Hvor Er Du Bro? who went undefeated through the group stage.
Goodfellas’ victory came after map wins on Overpass (16-11) and Ancient (16-11). The 18 year old talent Markus “upE” Johansson finished the series as the top fragger with 51 kills to his name.
The next quarterfinal will be a Swedish derby where the reigning champions Lilmix goes up against Vikings. This match will be played on Tuesday 29th of November starting at 16:30 CET.
