European Masters Spring 2018
Play-In Round 1
Information
The European Masters is a European championship for the teams competing in the national leagues across Europe, created in collaboration with Riot Games and ESL. The event will start on the 9th of April and the semi finals and finals will be held on the 28th and the 29th of April respectively, in front of a live audience.
The tournament will be played offline at The Haymarket Theatre in Leicester, UK with a €150,000 total prize pool.
Format
Play-In
Round 1
Four groups of three play a round robin best-of-one group stage, top two out of each group moves on to the second round.
Round 2
Single elimination bracket with the quarter finals being best-of-one and the qualifying matches are best-of-three. The winners of the qualifying matches qualifies to the group stage.
Group Stage
Four groups of four teams in a round robin group stage with best-of-one series. Top 3 from each group proceeds to the playoffs.
Playoffs
The winner out of each group are placed into the quarter finals, the second and third place team from each group will be placed in the round before.
All matches are best-of-three except for the final, which is a best-of-five.
