Blizzard have announced that on Wednesday, 28th June they are moving 11 realms to a new site.
The cause of this is to enhance performance for all realms and to prepare for Cross-Realm Battlegrounds coming in patch 1.12 (Under development notes) by grouping the same-language realms together.
They anticipate these eleven realms being unavalible for up to 36 hours. All players with an active character on these realms will be creditet with 2 free days.
Here is the list of the affected realms:

Dethecus
Arak-arahm
Forscherliga
Confrérie du Thorium
Eitrigg
Garona
La Croisade écarlate
Medivh
Uldaman
"Due to a technicality, after this move your friends and ignore lists will be wiped clean. This is an unfortunate side effect, for which we want to apologise beforehand. Should you wish to do so, make sure to make a personal note of the people you have in your friends list (and your ignore list, if you want.)
Also, please be aware that all active auctions will automatically expire once this move starts, effectively ending them early. So if you don’t want your epic item to go for a low price, don’t start an auction with an ending time close to the start of this move."
Through the moving of the above realms the folling realms may be unavalible for up to 24 hours. As a result all players with an active character on one of these affected realms will receive one extra day of game time.
