Fps-drops

Okei, first of all, sorry I don`t speak swedish and second of all I know there is a lot of threads about fps-drops, but no one with any help for me. So I give it a shot.
Allright, it all startet after I installed win xp + sp2 again, without "formatering". Now, i drop all the time from 100 to 30-40.
I have tried a lot of things like: defragment, windows updates, installed the original drivers (from cd) to gfx, -freq 100 in launch, scanned for virus, closed all foolish programs on my desktop, etc.....
specs: amd athlon 64 3500 +
nvidia 6600gt
kingston 1024 mb ram
and so on.
Woth mentioning is that I had 100 stabile fps before. Is there anybody out there who can help me?
