The first round of the Philips OneBlade Cup Norwegian playoff round was played yesterday, the 16th of June and what an exciting evening of FIFA it was!

As discussed yesterday in the tournament preview, there were a lot of great FIFA players in this year’s Norwegian regional Philips OneBlade cup and it was difficult to assess in advance who would be crowned the champion. In yesterday’s tournament preview, we listed a few preliminary favorites who could go on and win the Norwegian tournament, but a lot of surprises were seen straight out the gate. Masteernguyen, VegardFH7 and maybe the biggest favorite of all, VidusanYoganathan were all defeated in the first playoff round.

Even though a lot of preliminary favorites were defeated early in the tournament, the number one rated player in Norway, NVD Hyper kept his head and is now one of the four players that we will be seeing in tonight’s semi-final of the Norwegian playoff round. The other four players who made it to tonight’s semi-final round of the playoffs are vinoth1703, Netsix and ThomasHenningsen#1434. The final four players will be playing for the title of Norwegian Philips OneBlade cup champion and for the 1-4 seedings for the final stage of the tournament where they will be playing against the best FIFA players from Finland, Sweden and Denmark.
