FACEIT Major: London 2018 is the second Major of 2018.
The prize pool is once again $1,000,000 and the 24-team format introduced at the previous Major will be used again. This is the first Major to be held by FACEIT and will feature twenty-four professional teams from around the world.
Group stages will not be played in front of a live crowd, the playoffs will be held in the SSE Arena, Wembley.
Format
The New Challengers Stage: 16 Team Swiss System Format
Round 1 to 4 matches are best-of-one
Round 5 matches are best-of-three
The Buchholz system is used to seed matches from Rounds 3 to 5.
Top 8 Teams proceed to The New Legends Stage, bottom 8 Teams are eliminated
The New Legends Stage: 16 Team Swiss System Format
Round 1 to 4 matches are best-of-one
Round 5 matches are best-of-three
The Buchholz system is used to seed matches from Rounds 3 to 5.
Top 8 Teams proceed to The New Champions Stage, bottom 8 Teams are eliminated
The New Champions Stage: Single-Elimination Bracket
The Buchholz system is used to seed the Quarterfinals' matches.
All matches (including the Grand Final) are best-of-three.
