Toronto, Canada The ELEAGUE Americas Minor is a part of the upcoming major in CS:GO, this is the platform for the North and South American teams not invited to either the Major Group Stage or the Major Qualifier to qualify for the Major qualifiers for a chance at the Major.
The Americas Minor is one of four minors, the other three are the Europe, CIS and Asia minor. Each of the minors will be sending two teams to the Major Qualifiers, the total prize pool for the minors are $50,000 USD.
Ahead of the Americas Minor there will be an open South American and North American aswell as a Closed North America Qualifier determining the six teams that will join Counter Logic Gaming and Team Liquid in Toronto, Canada.
Open Qualifiers
South America - Open Bracket with best-of-three matches, the winner moves on to the group stage.
North America - Open Bracket with best-of-three matches, top six moves on to the Closed qualifier.
Closed Qualifier
Eight invited teams will be joined by eight teams from the NA open qualifier in a swiss-style tournament with the top 5 moves on to the group stage
Group Stage
Two groups of four.
GSL Style brackets with round one and winners match played as best-of-one and the other series are best-of-three.
Playoffs
Double Elimination bracket with all series being best-of-three matches.
