What is VTX?

VTX is a communication package including the most used/liked game communicationprograms with servers. TeamSpeak 2.0.29.47 Client, TeamSpeak 2.0.33.7 BETA Client, VTX 2.14 Client, VTX 2.14 Client, VTX 2.30 Klient, VTX 2.32 BETA Client, TeamSpeak 2.0.20.1 Server, VTX 2.12 Server and VTX 2.31 Server.


Why should i use VTX?

VTX (also known as VentriloX) doesn't only go under the same principle as VentriloMix and Multi Ventrilo. VTX also take care of the look on the clients, the size of the clients, possibility to have multiple clients running, servers for the clients, the size of the installation, a gamer- and beginnerfriendly configuration after installation, removal of unwanted things, possibility to have different installationmaterial for those who wants that and hotkeys for quick usage.


* Look on the clients

The icons on all clients are switched, the icons inside the clients are switched, the connect button have been inhanced, xp/vista theme support, different logo and versionname on each client and all the clients have the same form/size with buttons etc. on the same spot. We have rearranged the selection on the rightclick menu; "Copy comment, Mute and Send Page" are now quicker to use.


* The size of the clients

All the ".exe" fils are reduced down to 30% with PEcompact2.


* Possibility to have multiple clients running:

You can have as many VTX clients open at the same time as you please if you use the start-menu shortcuts. You can also have up to two TeamSpeak clients running at the same time. (This won't work if you're trying to open a VTX client multiple times using the hotkeys on your keyboard (if you do that, windows will only be switching between the VTX clients you have in process).


* Servers for the clients

All the clients VTX is containing has servers which can be used with the clients. If your running "VTX Default" configuration, you can setup a "VTX 2.xx Server" followed by opening "VTX 2.xx Client" and selecting the server "My VTX Server", and then the VTX client will enter the server you just setup on your computer. Default admin password to the VTX servers are "vtx" (small capitals). This and lots more can be changed by opening the "VTX 2.xx Server Configuration" on your start-menu (if you change the port, you will need to change that on your VTX client's My VTX Server aswell). "VTX 2.12 server" works with the "VTX 2.14 Client" and "VTX 2.31 Server" works with the "VTX 2.30- and 2.32 BETA clients". (Note: Don't try to give other people the IP "127.0.0.1" to connect to your server over LAN, this IP will only work from your own computer ( since it's local host). Give them your LAN IP instead.


* The size of the installation

VTX's Installation is around 3MB. This is 50% of VentriloMix's size. The reason for this is compressed exe files, removal of sounds and unwanted stuff.


* A Gamer- and beginnerfriendly configuration after installation

First time you open one of the VTX clients after installation and want to change your name, you can press "Clone". Doing so will let you use "VTX Default" configuration instead of Ventrilos default configuration. This configuration will setup "My VTX Server", CAPSLOCK will be your talkbutton, outbound and inbound will be increased a bit, all sounds except Page etc. are removed and all the VTX clients will minimize to the tray-menu instead of the taskbar. On TeamSpeak we've also changed some settings. After installation it's the best sound quality, CAPSLOCK is the talkbutton and all sounds are removed. You can ofcourse change the configurationsettings as you please afterwards.


* Removal of unwanted things

We have removed everything we've found irrelevant on the VTX clients. Like about- and closebuttons, sounds etc.


* Possibility to have different installationmaterial for those who wants that

We have chosen to have four different installationparts for VTX. You won't be needing more than two of them. You can choose between "VTX", "VTX Different Hotkeys (DH)" and "VTX No Hotkeys (NH)". You can also add "VTX Sound Addon" containing the sounds for the VTX- and TeamSpeakclients.
