GHWT noter registreras inte

When playing ghwt and the "dots" spark up in fire and the music isn't interrupted, that's an indicator of me playing the right notes at the right time, isn't it?
Well, in either case, I do play in the right tempo and rythm (atleast I'd like to think so :P), the dots fire up and the music is playing as it should be.
There's only one problem: the notes aren't being registerd as correct :/ which means that I never get more than 3-4 note streak...
I've had trouble with the lag callibration and sensetivity of the drums ever since i got it for christmas, now that i recieved the midi cable i really hoped that the problems would be solved, but they still seem to be there...
I'm very aware of that it could be me playing wrong, but I can get long note streak on the guitar + I play the guitar and piano irl so the musical bit shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Oh and I have Wii if that matters.
P.S who came up with the stupid idea of requiring an extra wii mote for the mic?
Either the creators are simply retarded or they're just gready as ****

I hit most of the notes at the right time (this is based upon the assumption that spark on dots and the music playing un-interrupted indicates a right timed hit on the notes, can anyone confirm if this is the case?) including the pedal.
I'll check the batteries later though i'm pretty sure that they weren't low.
