The biggest eSports rivalries ever
Rivalries in sports take years to build up.
They may start due to geographical location, a close match or multiple close matches over a short space of time, or even players causing drama. In the world of eSports, rivalries spring up much quicker, and almost always because for the latter two reasons.
Trash talk is a staple of almost every major eSport, which gives players extra incentives to beat those who mock them, and due to the amount of tournaments in most titles, a series of close matches can happen within the space of a few months to give birth to a rivalry. I hope that the WCG event this coming July 18 – 21, 2019 will give us another day to remember. a moment that will enliven the memory of the past that will last eternally.
