Har en fråga, ni som orkar läsa igenom detta eller som orkar läsa genom raderna bara..
Har skrivit en film resenscion och undrar vad jag kan få för betyg på det här ?
Ursäktar stavfel, hoppas det inte blir en " wall of text "
Million Dollar Baby is a powerful drama movie from 2004. Morgan freeman as Eddie Scrap, Clint eastwood as Frankie Dunn and Maggie Fitzgerald as Hilary Swank.
She plays the role of a middle-aged woman who works at a small diner and dream of becoming something within boxing. Then one day Maggie walks into Frankies gym, he works as a manager and trainer for aspiring boxers. She want him to train her but he refuses because shes a woman, its not a "girl "sport he says. But she keeps showing up in his gym, Frankie ignores her. But then does the old ex-boxer Eddie Scrap discovers her.
He is now working as a janitor at the gym. He was impressed by her dedication, and begins to give her advice and encouragement. Fankie slowly becomes involved in her training and ends up managing and promoting her.
Im now about to reveal the ending.
Maggie finally gets her shot at the championship. But makes the mistake of turning her back on her when shes down. The other boxer comes up and hits her, knocking Maggie to the floor. Maggies head hits a bench on the way down, and snaps her neck, she becomes paralyzed in the whole body. she can not stand to live like that now and asks Frankie to pull the plug, and he did.
My own thoughts
I think this movie is really good, it has a good story and the actors are very good they also. It gives me even two kinds of "messages" as well, it is to never stop fighting and sex discrimination. Sex discrimination is very common in today's society, even in Sweden. For example, two adults who have the exact same education and does exactly the same things at work, yet so the man earns more money than the woman does. I certainly do not think it is acceptable, because what has sex with ones actions to do? I think its personality and ones actions that counts. Another thing that you can also discuss about the film is euthanasia. She received euthanasia, I think it's right. If your in pain and suffering, and cant take it anymore you should get it.
