Hello XeqtR, please introduce yourself.
Hi, my name is Jørgen, handle in CS "XeqtR", 20 years old and I'm currently playing for Adrenaline.
For how long have you played CS? And in what clans? Share your history!
Ohh, that'll take some time...ok here goes - I started
playing CS in Beta 3.1. Clans I've played in(chronologically) N.A.T.O(no),
HIFI(swe), MAD(dk), SoA(dk), c9/team9/NiP(swe), All*(dk/swe), GoL(swe),
Nordic(standin, swe), eoL/esu*eoL/GoL.eoL(no) and now currently playing for
Adrenaline former team9.
I first got introduced to the game @ a LAN with some of my friends and where I by accident got a CD-key that worked online, and so when I was bored one day and I wanted to play something else then BW that I played alot before I started with cs, that was the only game I could actually play online and I guess from that moment on I was stuck with this stupid mofo game;). Anyways, I knew a guy from BW that was actually trying out for the best norwegian clan in norway at that time and so I got to try a bit for them aswell even thou I wasnt really that good and hadn't played it more then a couple of weeks, anyways I got rly known on public servers and so with my clan tag + I started to kill alot of ppl..HE HE.
We were pretty unbeatable in Norway, but then we played TF(team fortuna) and we lost big time so I saw that if i wanted to play on a higher level i had to switch from norway to sweden, and so I joined HIFI, and I played with them for about 6-7 months and we got to do very well at CB etc. and then when summer hit again ppl got inactive and I had to find a new clan, so then I got this offer from MAD-Kato, some Danish guy who owned a netcafe in denmark and he had a up and coming clan going on in denmark.
So I joined up with them, and we did pretty well and beat many of the top clans in dk such as SoA, but then we lost to TNB in a cupmatch and that was basically cuz we didnt practice as much as I wanted so I eventually left that clan and I joined up with SoA, because I was rly active at that time in the dk scene, and around that time the first CPL europe was on the works and so was going so that became my next goal.
After we placed 2nd with SoA, some things didnt feel right, first of all the whole team except me were located in the same town in dk so they could LAN alot and etc etc, and so I basically left them, and joined up with the Swedish team called c9 at that time, where Potti, hyb, kuros, cogline, medion playd at that time, I had gotten to know potti and hyb aswell at the CPL event so they pretty much knew what i stood for and so i could join the team even thou i was norwegian and all. ;)
c9/team9 was a great time, we pretty much owned anything and everything, and were getting ready for CPL US, but then after some problems with some members in the team we didnt go afterall and that made the team break apart, and ppl went left and right, Potti, heaton and myself ended up in Allstars, shortly thereafter heaton joined SoA.swe aswell where medion
and hyb had went after the breakup.
Potti and i went to cpl holland with 3 Danish guyz, majestic, jackieboy and vicon and where we placed 2nd after losing to soa.swe in final. But already then we kinda knew that the old team9 lineup did alot of the things happen for the both teams in that tournament so we kinda just got together after that event and we formed NiP again that was the old name of team9 before they got sponsored by 9.
With NiP, I won CPL London and CPL berlin and some minor Swedish event, and then after CPL Berlin after some internal problems i got kicked from NiP and I joined up with GoL with GoL I came 3rd at the CPL Winter championship in Dallas where NiP won, after that event i was pretty dissapointed in some how the teammembers had performed compared to how they had performed before the event so i basically left that team right after the event and a month later i joined up with NiP again
Then winter came again and we just pracced and pracced with NiP and then when the events were coming up we suddenly couldnt go to any of them because we didnt have any sponsors in NiP even tho we were told by ppl that were supposed to handle that part had told us all the time that we had
it...and so in order for us to be able to play in the summer events. between SK and NiP i played in a cpl europe with Nordic as a standin because NiP couldnt go because scream was too young, I won that event with nordic.
Potti heaton and i joined up with SK and Xenon. We took in Dark and so we played the summer events, LA7 didnt go that well but that was mainly cuz of shitty organisment etc...shortly after we won CPL summer, and then as usual after the event there were some problems, mainly inactivity from myself and dark that made the others look for some new players, something dark and i didnt agree on, so dark and i left sk and joined up with eol.
With eol i won the mindtrek cpl qualifier that was pretty much a mini cpl, but then we failed badly at the cpl winter even tho we were big favourites by many, we didnt prepare well enough for the event because we got too confident after the mindtrek lan, so we placed like 8th there and then we kept going on with eol, and won cb eurocup finals, then some new sponsors and name changes but basically the same team except damien out and element in.
We came 2nd at clik and 1st at eswc qualifier @ nine, then after owning up sk alot, element decided to join them. ;) So we were left with 4 players only weeks before eswc and so i felt it wasn't enough time to build up a new team so i joined up with team9 before the summer events.
With team9 i won eswc and came 2nd at cpl summer and then
i havent been so much active since that so that pretty much caps it up, team9 changed name to adrenaline and my team is currently living in america and im under a 1 year contract with the team with salary and that pretty much sums up my CS Career.
If you were able to freeze time and play with one clan for eternity, which one would you pick?
Either OLD nip that played in CPL London, or GoL.eoL lineup @ the eswc qualifier and clikarena. Just because then i felt that the team I were playing in at that time were pretty much complete and i felt very confident going into an event. I won't say adrenaline right now because of all the roster changes and instable results...but maybe after the winter events it'll be adrenaline. ;)
You're born in Norway, you've played wish danes, swedes and americans. Has your language ever stopped you from performing well?
No, my communication has always been somewhat my strong point ingame espacially, and pregame tactics...either in norwegian, Swedish or english...with soa i could also understand some Danish, but i talked english then..but never a problem.
Where in USA does your team live? Do they have their own house together of dirrerent apartments?
Well, the team is currently living in California, in an appartment with their own car etc. And they are playing from the Gamers-X LAN-center.
Do you think that living together can cause any trouble?
That i dont know that much about since I'm not currently staying with the team in america, but I dont think so since everybody is good friends except the fact that they are playing in the same team, orelse we couldnt do such a drastic move as this.
You are playing with both the Swedish and the american team. How is it possible?
yes, basically it is for me to stay in shape before the winter events, and because SEL doesnt allow more then 3 new players so we couldnt form a new team without atleast 2 from the adrenaline that played in the previous SEL season. I'll go to USA in december to practise for cXg.
Who pays your trips around the world?
Gamers-X does. Or their sponsors, Sehnheiser.
Every organisation are only able to send one team to CPL-events. Is it the best performing team that'll go?
We are under one organisation i dont think the "other" team is under the same organisation so both teams will attend cpl winter. By that i mean, Adrenaline-gx have our own organisation that doesnt include any other team.
For some while, you've been able to see an icon starring "Adrenaline" at the top of Gamers.nu, what is it exactly?
I dont know actually, think we were gonna have our homepage on the gamers.nu site or something...but i dont involve myself in so many things outside the gaming part, so i cant rly answer that with 100% accuracy. ;)
Which version of Counter-Strike do you prefer personally?
5.2 was fun at the time..now i just try to play the current version and make it my favourite version..its not because i think cs is the greatest game in the world that i play it. :)
Where do you stand in the shield-issue?
Like..remove this shit NOW!
Do your parents support your gaming?
They dont like that it has taken such a big part of my life, but thats about it, trying to make me stop a couple of times. but nothing serious. ;)
But don't they support you when they see all the money you've won?
Well, the point is that i havent gotten half of what ive actually won, some because CPL hasnt had the prize money, or i just havent gotten my share of the money from the team i played under;( etc etc...but right now im doing rly well so now they arent complaining as much as before. Must remember ive played since the very first cpl europe and then the prize money wasnt that big and no salaries etc...so back then i didnt make so much money compared to the time i invested in it, but thats about to change now..
If i haven't miscounted, you'll be six men in USA at winter. Who isn't going to play?
Dont know yet, that we will have to figure out when i get there...most likely we'll go with a 6 man rotation in CPL Dallas and then switch to a 5 man lineup with one sub, based on how we played @ CPL
If you could pick five players and one manager for a dreamteam – whicih would it be?
I've no idea...right now im very happy with the situation in adrenaline so i wouldnt change that, both the team and the organisation around it.
That's about it. Feel free to express yourself here.
thx for doing a nice interview, greetings to all my friends and fans and hope for lots of support in the upcoming events, PEACE!
