Vexed and LDLC White qualify for Fragbite Masters

2
The opening battles of the final qualifier to Fragbite Masters powered by Com Hem Season 5 are settled, with the Poles of Vexed Gaming and the French side LDLC White advancing to the main tournament.
Yesterday, we saw the final qualifier to Fragbite Masters powered by Com Hem Season 5 start. The start meant two best of three matches, where the winner of each battle would qualify for the main tournament. These two matches have been played out, and we see the Vexed Gaming from Poland and LDLC White from France go through via wins against BX3 and Publiclir, respectively.

Incredible comeback from Vexed

The first match of the night was the Norwegian side BX3 challenging Vexed — and did it really well. Even though the Norwegians lost the opening map, Cobblestone, with a devastating 6-16 result, they brought the series back via a strong 16-11 win on Cache. When the deciding Dust2 started to play out, it looked like we would have an upset on our hands.

As the offensive side, BX3 pulled out an unexpected bulldozer and started mowing down their Polish opponents. The pistol round gave them a three-to-nil lead, and even though losing the first weapon round, they brought it back. In the end of the half, all but two rounds had gone BX3's way, meaning Vexed had a steep uphill battle ahead of them.

Luckily for Vexed Gaming, they won the upcoming pistol round and started to claw their way back in the fight. After nine rounds in the half, the huge deficit had become a possibility, and once BX3 finally got a CT round on the board, the Poles answered with another round win. This gave them a huge economic advantage, and ended up doing the glory comeback from 2-13 to 16-14.

Close, but not really, when LDLC beat Publiclir

The other game of the day was between Publiclir and LDLC White, where the latter started off with a convincing show on Inferno, winning it 16-6 after getting 11-4 as CT. The Swedes managed to bring it back, however, as they picked up Cache with a narrow 16-14 win. The final map showed us who were better though, as Cobblestone ended up with a 16-3 after a 12-3 performance as the charging terrorist team.
