After a total of eight exciting days of top-tier CS:GO, the group stage of Fragbite Masters Season 3 powered by Com Hem is finished. The two last slots for the Upper Bracket went to Virtus.pro after defeating Titan in the Group D finale, while Titan then went on to beat Bad Monkey Gaming to grab the final upper bracket spot.
The first game of the day was supposed to be the loser's match between Bad Monkey Gaming and myXMG. Though, the latter had to forfeit once again as they couldn't make it home from the Danish ESWC qualifier in time for the match. Instead, the first BO3 of the night was the one between Virtus.pro and Titan.
Mirage followed, and a completely different Titan appeared. They started off incredibly strong as Terrorists, grabbing a solid 5-0 lead before Virtus.pro showed up. The Poles, TaZ and brother-in-arm Filip "Neo" Kubski in particular, started winning rounds and in half time, they had narrowed down the result to a 6-9. Virtus kept going as the charging team, and in the end they were standing toe-to-toe with Titan. After a couple of rounds going both ways, Wojtas' and his team pulled away on the scoreboard, securing a 16-12 win.
Today's match would begin on the very same map, but this time Bad Monkey Gaming would start as CT. Though, the opening of the match looked very familiar. Titan grabbed a hold of a hefty majority of the rounds, and left BMG with only two rounds, one through an AWP ace by Julia "juliano" Kiran, on their account before half time. After Titan got the pistol round, they finished the match 16-2.
Mirage followed, and it started off with Bad Monkey Gaming winning the pistol round as Terrorists. Though, Titan won a force buy the following round, and eventually ended up with a 4-1 lead. At this point, both Sonia "Sonia" García and Zainab "zAAz" Turkie stepped up their game, and BMG took four rounds in a row to take the lead for the second time in the match. That was all BMG got in the first half, though, as Titan got the following six rounds.
Titan also won the following pistol round and saw themselves having a 13-5 lead. At this point, BMG started to gain confidence again, grabbing two-three rounds, but it wasn't enough to stop the DreamHack Stockholm champions.
The end of Group D means we are through with the group stage of this season, which also means next time we'll have matches, it will be in the playoffs. Below you'll find which teams are in which bracket. More information about specific match-ups will be presented in due time.
