NiP Gaming andk1ck are the two first teams securing themselves spots in the winner bracket of the Fragbite Masters playoffs. This does not mean the end for 3DMAX and Na`Vi though, as they still advance to the lower bracket.
The matches of the night, which were all for Group A, started off with NiP Gaming against k1ck. The map was Nuke, and NiP showed an incredible defense snatching all 15 rounds off of the Portuguese team. Even though k1ck won the coming pistol round, and another eight following rounds, it was just a matter of time before the Swedes put a pin in the game.
Later on, the ukraine-based Na`Vi and the Danish squad in 3DMAX fought for a spot in the winner-match of the group. Inferno was the map, and Na`Vi started with a good attacking side, leading with a 9-6 score before half time. They then continued their journey towards a win with a successful pistol round, followed by six won rounds.
The winner-match, between NiP Gaming and Na`Vi, was played on Train. The Swedes started as the always-very-scary Terrorist side, but managed to clinch a well-done six rounds before jumping over to CT. Na`Vi also showed they could win rounds as the attacking team, but not an amount enough to get a win. 16-13 to the Swedes gave them the first spot of the group and a higher seed in the winner bracket.
At this point, the loser match was played where k1ck were taking on 3DMAX. The latter started off good, and looked like the strongest team as they got nine rounds as attackers on Inferno. The Portuguese team, even though being down three rounds when going over to the harder side, then managed to bring their A-game as Terrorists. They picked ten rounds against 3DMAX's four, giving them a 16-13 result and a spot in the group consolidation match against Na`Vi.
At this point, k1ck advanced to the consolidation match against Na`Vi, and the map was Dust2. Once again, k1ck had a rough start as Na`Vi managed to get eleven rounds in the bank before going over to the slightly harder Counter-Terrorist side. And once again, k1ck started their comeback. After well executed plays, and some fierce AWPing from Ricardo "fox" Pacheco, the Portuguese side saw themselves winning the match 16-13, and thereby securing themselves a spot in the winner's bracket.
