Inför Gamescom: Intervju del två — Jankos

Intervjuserien fortsätter och vi har nu kommit till den polska ROCCAT-spelaren Jankos som tog sig tiden att svara på lite frågor inför Gamescom.
Om ett par dagar spelas LCS-slutspelet på Gamescom och vi fick tag på den polska ROCCAt-spelaren Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski för en kort inför-intervju. Han tror bland annat att Fnatic är favoriter till att knipa förstaplatsen och att laget har förberett sig otroligt mycket för att kunna knipa en av de tre platserna till Worlds. Laget lyckades besegra ett formsvagt Supa Hot Crew i kvartsfinalen som spelades nu på torsdag och de kommer att möta Fnatic i semifinalen som spelas bäst av fem.

Om den gångna säsongen

Congratulations on making it to the playoffs! How do you feel that the split went for you and your team?


— I think the split was far from perfect for us. We lost too much games which we should normally have won. But hey Playoffs is all that matters right now, so as long as we improved from those losses im fine with it.

Your team is fully polish, do you think it’s an advantage compared to your compeditors?


— I think its quite a big advantage because the communication is way easier and you feel more comfortable with the people around you when they all speak your own language.

If we look back, what could you and your team done better?


— We could have closed out a couple of games that we lost because of stupid throws. And a bit unlucky.

Last season, Millenium was forced to play relegation matches and now you, when you joined the team, you guys are going to play in the playoffs. Do you think that you are the reason behind your teams success this season?


— I think I definitely had a huge impact coming into the team but everyone stepped up their game and thats why we went so far.

This season have been a bit hard for the team and you made it to through to the playoffs by finishing sixth. How will you improve your gameplay before the playoffs?


— Well we've started to play a lot more right now. Pretty much all we do from when we wake up till we go to sleep is play league. We are working on communication, finding out how enemy will react on certain threats and etc.

Have your life changed since joining the LCS? And if yes, how?

— Ofc it changed, I am not living in poland anymore. I was in high school before so I didnt focuss 100% on league, while right now I am living with my whole team in Cologne in a gaming house and for us its all about improving and playing the game.

If you need to highlight one of your teammates and give him extra cred, who would it be and why?


— VanderLIFE - that says it all.

Om framtiden

It’s just a few days left until the playoffs start, what do you think about your chances?


Well we are going there with the idea to win. We are working super hard to prepare for those matches and we will try our best to grab one of the spots for worlds.

If you need to predict the winner and you can’t choose your own team, who will win the whole split, and why?


— Fnatic - they have the most expirience and raw skill. I think when they are serious and focussed on their preparations they are on of the best teams in the world.

Is there any match or moment from the split that will be extra memorable?


— LCS London, becuase playing in front of such a huge crowd is always amazing. I kinda miss that from before LCS.

Your team is not that experienced compared to the likes of Fnatic & Alliance, would that play a factor if you would reach Worlds?

— For fnatic i would say - yes. But only part of Alliance is expirienced, so i think that will take quite a toll on them.

— I would like to thank ROCCAT and AMD for their support, and helping us even when we are not doing good. I also want to thank all my fans and friends who has supported me through my journey!
