The time has come for the Fragbite Masters Season 3 powered by Com Hem Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament to settle. Around 2500 individuals have in one way or another participated in the season, and 16 teams played the main tournamen. Now, there are only four left, who will all gather in Stockholm, Sweden to play for the bigger half of the 300 000 prize pool.
THE TEAMS
On site for the big finale of the tournament will be LDLC, Virtus.pro, Team Dignitas and fnatic. All of the teams on site won their respective group, and impressed in the upper bracket of the playoffs. Not until they faced each other did any of the teams drop to the lower bracket. LDLC then overcame fnatic, and Virtus.pro beat Team Dignitas to advance to the playoffs. Fnatic and Team Dignitas then won against NiP Gaming and Na`Vi, respectively, to earn their spot to the LAN finals.
Worth mentioning is that Virtus.pro will use a stand-in, Jacek "minise" Jeziak, due to Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski getting ill after ESWC 2014.
THE SCHEDULE
The LAN finals will kick off with the lower bracket final between fnatic and Team Dignitas, and followed by the upper bracket final between LDLC and Virtus.pro. Both of these matches, as well as the consolidation match, are played best of three maps and will be settled during Saturday. The grand final is played best of five during Sunday.
THE BROADCAST
This goes without saying, but of course we will broadcast every part of this season finale. As opposed to the online phase of the tournament, we will not add a second studio in the broadcast. This is the panel studio, where Richard Lewis, Duncan "Thorin" Shields and Marcus "zet" Sundström will talk about the games from an analytical point of view, and also interview players after the matches.
The incredible duo of Anders Blume and Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat will, of course, also be part of the broadcast. Like the online phase, these talented casters will provide you with match commentary. The channel for all of this is FragbiteLive on Twitch.
THE PRIZES
So, what's at stake in the studio in Stockholm, Sweden? Of the 300 000 SEK prize sum, 160 000 SEK will go to the victors of the tournament. This winning sum of money translates into 17 400 EUR, while second place gives out half as much.
