As yesterday's matches came to and end, it's settled that the CS:GO Championship Series champions, Team SoloMid, and the ESL Pro League title holders of Natus Vincere will face each other for the first group stage advancement in the fourth edition of Fragbite Masters. First, though, Team Dignitas and PENTA Sports will play the elimination match.
Yesterday started out with a battle between Danish Team SoloMid and their countrymen in Team Dignitas, where the latter sure put up a good fight against their rivals. Even though Team SoloMid prevailed with a 2-0 score line, it couldn't have been much closer. The opening map, Cache, went all out as TSM barely won with 16-14, while the following Dust2 had the same end result.
The second match, between Natus Vincere and PENTA Sports, also ended up finishing with a 2-0 score for the victors. This match was a bit less close though, as Na`Vi won the opener on Dust2 with a 16-11 result, followed by a 16-8 performance on Cobblestone. This win gave them the spot in the group finale against TSM, where the winners will directly advance to the upper bracket.
As previously mentioned, the loser of tonight's first game will be eliminated from the tournament, while the winner of tonight's group finale will go directly to the playoffs. The two teams who neither get eliminated nor advance will be awaiting to play their consolidation final against each other on the 19th of May, which is a part of the consolidation stage.
