After a roller coaster of a ride between fnatic and LDLC in the upper bracket, the latter have come out victorious with a 2-1 win. This means the Frenchmen are joining Virtus.pro in the upper bracket in the LAN finals of Fragbite Masters Season 3 powered by Com Hem.
The win was no where easy, though. The opening map, Mirage, went fnatic's way even though LDLC clinched a win in both the pistol rounds. Fnatic's way of winning ecos and turning rounds around proved to be too much for LDLC to handle, for starters.
Due to technical issues, Mirage was the only map broadcasted. The rest of the match was played off stream, and it's a shame as the players got to witness one of the greatest comebacks of the year. Fnatic looked like they would be booking their tickets to Stockholm with a 2-0 score after the first half if Inferno ended with a 13-2 lead for the Swedes. LDLC never gave up, though, and actually managed to come back into the match and equalize the map score with a 16-14 win.
Overpass was the final map, where fnatic got a 10-5 lead in half time after playing the heavily favored CT side. These 10 rounds were not enough, as LDLC held a strong hold on the bombsites, taking home 11 rounds with only losing one.
The second map was Mirage, and it was almost finished before the break. As the normally weaker terrorist side, Na`Vi came back into the match with a 9-6 half. Though, Titan proved to have a pretty strong offensive side as well, taking a 6-2 lead evening out the score to 12-11, in favor of the French team. With this score, the match is paused and will be played out during another night.
