Virtus overcome HellRaisers — Na`Vi, Epsilon survive i LB

1
After three maps, Virtus put HellRaisers in the lower bracket, while the two opening lower bracket matches have resulted in the Danish teams of Isak eSports and myXMG being eliminated.
Tonight's broadcast of Fragbite Masters Season 3 powered by Com Hem is through, and Na`Vi and Epsilon are the ones who are through to fight in the second lower bracket round after convincingly beating their Danish opponents.

Dominance from Na`Vi

The first game of the night was the one between Ukrainian Na`Vi and Danish Isak eSports, where Cache was the playing field for the best-of-one. Na`Vi started off on the normally tougher terrorist side, but did not seem to be bothered by these conditions. They won the pistol round, the first and second weapon round, and not even Isak's win in the seventh round could stop them from plowing their way through.

By the score 11-1, in favor of Na`Vi, the Danes started stepping their game up, taking two of the last three rounds of the half. They followed up with winning the second pistol round, but that was all she wrote as Na`Vi were successful in the following round, and ended the match with a 16-4 score.

Na`Vi will keep on fighting in the Fragbite Masters lower bracket.

myXMG met the same fate as their countrymen

Inferno was the map to be played between Epsilon and myXMG, where Epsilon got to start off on the less favored charging side, where they quickly took a 3-0 lead. When their Danish opponents won the first weapon round, they quickly answered with a win of their own, and therefore had myXMG:s economy low during a longer time. At the score 10-2, myXMG got three rounds in a row, making the half time score 10-5, still in favor of Epsilon.

The Danish team never made it closer, though. Epsilon got the second pistol round as well, and in their last weapon round hope, Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom answered with four quick M4A1-S headshots, and Epsilon eventually closed the game at 16-5.

Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom's Epsilon are still in it!

Virtus.pro vs. HellRaisers — a three-map anti climax

The most anticipated game of the night, the best of three fight between Virtus.pro and HellRaisers, really was an interesting game. The first map, Cache, went HellRaisers way after an utterly dominant performance as terrorists, grabbing an amazing 13-2 lead. When winning the following pistol round, they closed the game quick and painless.

Overpass followed, and it looked to be the other way around this time. Virtus.pro started off on the heavily favored CT side, and they took a whole nine rounds before HellRaisers got on the scoreboard. The mid game result was an even more dominant one than HellRaisers' on Cache, with 14-1. Virtus then won the pistol round, making the lead 15-1, and it surely looked to be over.

At this point, HellRaisers started grabbing some rounds. Some rounds became a lot of rounds, and one of the sickest comebacks of the year looked to be minutes away of presenting itself. Though, the match was suffering from heavy technical issues, forcing the game to be postponed with the score 15-12 in favor of Virtus.pro. Later in the night, the match was played off-stream, and this is how it went.

HellRaisers managed to close VP's 15-12 lead to 15-15, forcing the game to overtime. Up until this point, the Counter-Terrorist side had won 28 out of 30 rounds, which made it fitting that Virtus would begin the overtime with a 3-0 score on CT side, and get answered by a 3-3 when HellRaisers went over to CT. In the second overtime, it all switched. HellRaisers managed to get two rounds as terrorists, giving them great conditions for the upcoming CT side. Though, Virtus then took all three rounds as terrorists, finally winning the map 22-20.

On Inferno, HellRaisers got a great start when they picked up the pistol round as terrorists. Virtus.pro put up some great fights on their ecos, though, and actually won the second one. The rounds went a bit back and forth in the beginning, but Virtus eventually expanded their lead to 10-5 as CT. The result could be seen as typical, but after winning the pistol round, the following eco rounds and the first weapon round, Virtus had a 15-5 lead.

Although, if we've learned anything from this match, it's that HR can come back from any kind of result, and started to do so. Four rounds in a row went the Ukrainians way, but it wasn't enough. On an eco round, ironically, Virtus.pro managed to put the final nail in the coffin and go out victorious.

Close call, Virtus!

The results of the matches above mean that both myXMG and Isak eSports are out of this season of Fragbite Masters. Epsilon will go through to face NiP Gaming in the lower bracket, while Na`Vi will have to face Titan. HellRaisers, after their loss against Virtus, dropped down to the lower bracket and will play against Copenhagen Wolves. Virtus.pro, on the other hand, are still in the upper bracket and will face Team Dignitas for a spot at the LAN finals!

That's it from Fragbite Masters this week, though. The next broadcast will be on Tuesday, the 21st of October, where Virtus and Team Dignitas will face for the first spot in the LAN finals, while HellRaisers and Copenhagen Wolves will clash in the lower bracket. More information about this broadcast will be presented in due time.
