The LDLC lineup are the first five players to secure themselves a spot in the Upper Bracket in the playoffs of Fragbite Masters Season 3 powered by Com Hem. This was settled in a duel with the Swedish Season 1 champions in NiP Gaming, where the French team managed to clinch two maps in a row. Though, the Swedes saved their spot in the Upper Bracket by winning the following match against Copenhagen Wolves.
The dominance followed into Inferno, where the Frenchmen started off as Terrorists. Fabien "KIOSHIMA" Fiey got an ace on the pistol round, and although NiP grabbing a hold on their game after five rounds, the damage was done. The 8-7 lead in half time was not enough for the Scandinavians to push the meeting to a third map, as LDLC proved once again they have a strong defense.
The first half went a typical 10-5-score to the defending Wolves, and NiP picked upp the following pistol round to eventually even the score out. After a couple of rounds for the both teams, NiP found themselves in a lead but unable to close the map. At 14-14, though, the Swedes sprinted to the finish line.
Dust2 was the map to follow, but this time the teams started on the opposite sides. As CT, Wolves got a great start being up five rounds to one. NiP:s charges went smoother over time, though, and by half time they had turned the tables, being up 9-6. After also winning the following pistol round, NiP were in a good position to take the match with a 2-0 map score, and even though the Wolves of Copenhagen fought, it wasn't enough to stop NiP from taking the final Upper Bracket slot.
After the match, commentator Anders Blume said he thought Richard "Xizt" Landström was the most valuable player of the match. Strong play from the in game-leader backed up his theory, and two aces during the night should speak for itself. In a post-game interview, Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund had the following to say about his leader's performance against Copenhagen Wolves.
The win means NiP Gaming will, just like LDLC, start the playoffs in the Upper Bracket. There, they will face the winner of one of the three remaining groups. The group's Danish teams are not out of the tournament, though, as they still advance to the playoffs, but will start in the Lower Bracket.
