Tonight's matches have been settled, and LDLC.com is the team who advance in the upper bracket of Fragbite Masters powered by Com Hem. LGB eSports, who got sent down to the lower bracket by the French team, are still in the tournament though, since they managed to win against Na`Vi. Clan-Mystik also stood for a great comeback, beating 3DMAX to keep themselves afloat in the lower bracket.
LGB eSports vs. LDLC.com
The first match of the night was a best of three meeting between the Swedish EMS One Katowice semi finalist LGB eSports and the French LDLC.com, who reached quarter finals in the Polish ESL-event. It all started on Inferno, where LGB won the Terrorist pistol round. They did meet a well defensive team though, but still took seven rounds before half time. In the second half, LGB failed to win the pistol round, giving LDLC a wider lead. The Swedes only managed to stop the French side from attacking the bomb sites three times before the first map was over.
The following map was Dust2, where LGB won the pistol round as the attacking side only to lose the following anti-eco round to the French side. It all went pretty evenly in the half, ending with a 9-6 score in favor LDLC. Then, LGB also won the following pistol round, making it look possible for them to even out the map score. Though, LDLC's strong offense was a tad too much for the Swedes to handle, and the French team won the map with 16-12, meaning they defeated LGB eSports with a 2-0 score.
After a break, it was time for LGB to get the opportunity for revenge in the lower bracket. The opponents waiting were Na`Vi, and the map to be played was Mirage. Previously, LGB have proved themselves on this map, and did not disappoint their fans this time either. As the defending team, they took the pistol round and got up to a quick five round lead. Although, Na`Vi started to win rounds by juggling the Swedes' economy, closing the gap to a one round defecit. LGB proved themselves further as Terrorists though, winning the second pistol round flawlessly and just dominating their opponents in the folloing rounds. Na`Vi only managed to win one round as defenders before LGB secured themselves advancement.
The last match of the night was played on Nuke, and the teams facing each other were Clan-Mystik and 3DMAX. Even though the French team, Clan-Mystik, won the pistol round as Terrorists, the match looked very promising for 3DMAX. In the first weapon round, Danish stand-in player Nichlas "Nille" Busk single-handedly stopped a ramp rush, igniting a strong CT side for the Danes. After half time, 3DMAX also won the important Terrorist pistol round. Clan-Mystik, however, managed to win the following eco round with four survivors. This was the big switch of momentum, as the French side won all of the following rounds, winning the map 16-11.
